Duct Chambers for New Waste Treatment Plant, Derby

Advanced are supplying their EasyPIT® Connect duct access chambers to a new Waste Treatment plant in Derby, having been approached to provide structural chambers that could be supplied pre-drilled with both 110mm and 150mm duct entries in specific locations to reduce installation times on site. Advanced also designed bespoke fabricated steel access covers that work in conjunction with the EasyPIT® family of access chambers.

Construction work is well underway by Interserve on the £145m Mechanical Biological Treatment facility and on-site gasification plant in Sinfin, South Derby.

The facility is expected to divert up to 98% of residents' residual waste from landfill, whilst also creating enough green electricity to power approcimately 14,000 homes.
